We need a better way to find and get our ladder challenge sheets when we progress to a new one. Your design brief:
It needs to show how the ladder sheets will be organised; remember there are many and when learners go looking for their next challenge they look in the ladder then in what number of that ladder.
It needs to be strong so it will last- some people are not so gentle when they get their ladder.
There needs to be an easy way to refill the system when the ladders run low and being able to see which ones need refilling is important.
The winning brief(s) stand to win a really exciting prize ( no it's not chocolate) and the chance to create their winning system(s)
Create the Triangle Flash cards: Cut an index card into a triangle. In each of the corners of the flash card write numbers belonging to a multiplication/division fact. For example if you write 63 at the top of the triangle, you would write 7 in one corner and 9 in another. Continue creating all the multiplication/division facts through nines.
Play the game: Hold the card up for your partner to see and place your thumb over one of the corners, covering a number. Your partner should identify the number that is covered by recognizing the other uncovered numbers as part of the multiplication/division fact. Continue playing the game with the cards, varying which section you cover each time.
Keep a record: While playing, keep a list of facts that your partner misses, or has a harder time remembering. Go back and practice those facts, covering different numbers as a way to practice both multiplication and division.
We have been trying to use great descriptive words instead of said. It really helps inform our audience of what's happening and what characters are feeling.
Can you put each of these words into a sentence? Are there any words here that you don't know?
