Matariki Stars

Room 2 made these fantastic Matariki Stars to help decorate our school hall.  We wanted to make it look special for the Noho (sleepover) event.

It was quite a long process but the end result was worth it.  They look AMAZING!  Check out these photos!

It's amazing what some torrential rain can produce

Our great writing skills were evident this morning and as worked on using
- Aaawwubbis- After, Although, As, While, When, Until, Before, Because, If, Since ( words that help us write complex sentences)
- writing like Joe (adding descriptive words)

Our Weather Words

showery
constant
stormy
drenched
rainy
heavy
pouring
thundery
naughty
soaking
grey
destructive
disgusting
suspicious
bucketing
gloomy
annoying
tumbling
ongoing
overflowing
flooding
persistent

As the rain was overflowing, it was causing a destructive path.

After the thundery weather, the rain finally stopped.

When will this constant weather stop?

Although for the last few days we had nice sunny weather, today it’s a really gloomy day.

Although the day was stormy and grey, everyone still had fun.

While I was walking to school the weather was rainy and destructive today especially.

While I was walking to school today, the weather was rainy and destructive.

As the annoying weather drew to an end, everyone said “Oh we want it to keep raining.”

Since it is raining I didn’t walk to school.

After the brief sunniness, the rain started getting more destructive.

Since the clouds in the sky turned grey it was a sign that a rainy day was on its way.

Until the grey clouds go away  leave, the rain will keep on flooding the streets. ( great editing Louie as you changed your own writing)
